      How Do I Assign iMG Monitors to Athletes in the Prevent App?

      It is important that each iMG is correctly assigned to an athlete. This is required to collect and sync data. Here's how to assign iMG monitors using the Prevent App.

      Note: Athletes using a Prevent Custom iMG may already have the correct monitor assigned to them due to our manufacturing process. However, it is necessary to assign iMG monitors when a Prevent Hybrid iMG is being used.

      Tip: You can also manage the assignment and unassignment of iMG monitors directly through the Prevent Portal. For detailed instructions on this process, please refer to this article.


      How to Assign iMG Monitors:

      1. Before you assign iMG monitors, make sure that all athletes are added to your team through the Prevent Portal. For guidance on how to complete this step, please refer to the instructions provided here. Once added, these will automatically display in the Prevent App.

      2. Click the '+ Assign Monitor' button for an individual athlete

      3. Click the 'Assign Manually' option at the bottom of the app screen

      4. Enter the 4-5 digit number printed on the side of your Prevent iMG. This device number is a unique identifier for each iMG.

      5. Remember to click 'Save' to confirm your changes. The new monitor assignment will be saved for the athlete.

      6. Now the correct iMG monitor has been assigned, this will allow a Bluetooth connection between the iMG and Prevent App. This is crucial for collecting and syncing data for each athlete.

      Note: It is essential to ensure that each Prevent Hybrid iMG is clearly identified as belonging to the correct athlete. You can achieve this by labeling the corresponding solo charging case with the athlete's name.


      How to Unassign iMG Monitors:

      If you ever need to remove an iMG monitor from an athlete, this can be done easily through the Prevent App.

      1. In the Prevent App, click on an athlete's tile to bring up the Athlete Page

      2. Click on the 3-dots in the upper right corner. This will display a list of options. 

      3. Click the 'Unassign Monitor' button. This will remove the existing iMG monitor assignment.
