What Do I Do If The Solo Case Is Displaying A Red Light?

If the solo case shows a solid or blinking red light while the iMG is charging, please follow these troubleshooting steps.

A solid or blinking red LED light indicates that the iMG and the solo case has not successfully, or is struggling, to establish a charging connection.

  1. Make sure the iMG is properly aligned within the solo case. For guidance on achieving the correct alignment, please refer to the image provided below. Reconnect the solo case to a power source and wait for 60 seconds to see if the LED light changes.

  2. Try placing the iMG in a different solo case that you are certain is functioning properly and charging other devices. If the iMG begins to charge, this suggests that the original solo case may be faulty. If so, please reach out to Prevent Support for further assistance.

  3. If the issue persists, it is likely that a replacement iMG is required. Please reach out to Prevent Support for further assistance.
    • Prior to requesting a replacement, inspect the iMG for any signs of chewing that may have caused damage. If you find evidence of chewing, please remind the athlete to avoid this behavior in the future. The Prevent iMG is not built to withstand chewing or jamming within a helmet, especially around the circuit board. A visual representation  of damage to the iMG from chewing can be seen below.

Note: The solo case may occasionally reduce power to the iMG to keep charging temperatures within a safe range and prevent overheating. This reduction in power could result in a temporary red LED light. However, if the solo case later shows a yellow or red light, rest assured that the iMG will continue to charge properly.
