The Prevent App typically requires about 10 to 15 minutes to fully sync all data from a team’s iMG devices. When the Prevent App is active and has an internet connection, the data syncing process occurs automatically without any need for user intervention.
You can monitor the status of the data syncing process through either the Prevent App or the Prevent Portal. For guidance, please see this article.
If you encounter issues with data syncing, or if it seems to be taking longer than expected, please refer to the following troubleshooting steps.
- Make sure the iMG device(s) are located close to the Prevent App. This proximity is essential for establishing a stable Bluetooth connection between the iMG and the App.
- Ensure that the Prevent App is connected to a reliable and active internet connection. While the app can capture data from iMG devices in offline mode, a stable internet connection is essential for uploading this data to the cloud and the Prevent Portal.
- Completely close the Prevent App and then reopen it. This action will initiate a restart of the syncing process, allowing any remaining data to be synced. This will not risk any data loss.
Important: Please note that signing out of the Prevent App during the syncing process may result in data loss.
