If an athlete wore a charged Prevent iMG during a session, and no data was recorded, follow these steps to identify and resolve the issue.
Here are some initial steps to ensure that iMG data is recorded and available from your session:
- Ensure the iMG was fully charged prior to the session. For full guidance on charging procedures, please see this article.
- Make sure the training session took place while the iMG was still within its operational battery life range. If the device is disconnected from the charger too soon, it may run out of power, leading to potential data loss during the session.
- Confirm with the athlete that the iMG device was properly worn on the teeth throughout the session, rather than being stored in a sock or pocket.
- Ensure that all available data has been synced from the iMG. For full guidance on how to check that all available data has been synced, please see this article.
Understanding '1970' Data:
If an iMG was charged correctly and worn by an athlete, it is possible that the device has collected data with the incorrect date stamp.
This occurs if a Prevent iMG does not sync to the Prevent App before or after the session, within the battery life of the device. This is required to set the date and time stamp on the device. This will result in the iMG recording impact data with the default date stamp on: January 1st 1970.
How can 1970 Data be prevented?
To prevent this issue in future sessions, it is crucial that all Prevent iMG devices connect to the Prevent App prior to the start of the session.
For comprehensive instructions on how to run the Prevent System, please refer to the following user guide for an overview of daily operating procedures.
