If you experience slight discomfort with your custom-fit Prevent iMG, here are a few steps you can try:
Softening the Edges of the iMG:
- Immerse the specific area that is causing discomfort in boiling water for 5 seconds. Be careful not to exceed this time, as prolonged exposure can compromise the overall fit and integrity of the iMG.
- Place the iMG onto your teeth and gently apply pressure to the area that is causing discomfort. This will help to reshape the iMG for a more comfortable fit.
- While the iMG is still in your mouth, rinse it gently with cool water. This will help the iMG maintain its new shape as it cools and sets.
Buffing the Inside Edge of the iMG:
- Utilize a dremel tool to gently smooth the inside edge and back area of the iMG to achieve a better fit. Take care not to excessively remove material, as this could affect the seal and overall structural integrity of the iMG.
Caution: Avoid cutting along the top edge of the iMG as it may lead to a seal malfunction, causing your iMG to fail.
